Can we do this? - What is the amount of deposit that you require?
What kind of groups do you recommend?
This would depend upon your personal taste. For a wedding ceremony, a "trio"
(combining violin, viola and cello for instance, or flute, violin and cello) might
be appropriate. It would provide the effect of an orchestra for a reasonable cost,
and would provide an elegant touch to the event, as well as providing an economical solution.

Will we meet the musicians prior to the event?
We offer unlimited phone and e-mail consulting to help you plan the music for your event.
In person consultations are not needed nor offered.

Will any of the musicians be students?
All of the musicians we provide are professionals who perform in orchestras or other
ensembles in addition to performing for LYNN FLEMING STUDIOS. It is possible that a
musician may be working on a graduate degree, but we do not use student-level performers.

Where will the musicians play?
The musicians should be located in an area with adequate light and space,
out of the way of guests and other traffic. An armless chair for each musician should be available.

Will the musicians play outdoors?
If the weather is temperate, the musicians may play outdoors. This must be discussed
prior to the event, and an appropriate site chosen, and shade provided if needed.

What will the musicians wear?
Typically, musicians will be dressed formally; black suit and tie for men,
formal conservative black for women. If other attire is required this can be
discussed prior to the event.

How will they know when to play?
We will plan this with you ahead of time and needed cuing will be arranged before the event.

When will they arrive for the event?
It generally takes only a few minutes for the musicians to set up. Usually they will arrive between 15-20 minutes prior to the event unless otherwise specified.

My friend/family member would like to sing with the group. Can we do this?
It is paramount that we have printed music that works for the group in the same key as the singer. We would then recommend a short rehearsal immediately prior to the event with the singer. There will be an extra fee for this service, as the musicians need to be compensated.

What is the amount of deposit that you require?
The amount of the deposit is 25% of the total fee, and is non-refundable.
